Job summary

A food manufacturing business in Dungannon is seeking a Production Planner to develop production plans and ensure the alignment of the supply chain. The ideal candidate has at least a year of experience in production planning within a manufacturing setting, preferably in food, along with expertise in ERP/MRP tools. This full-time, permanent role offers an opportunity to improve production efficiency and comply with food safety standards.

Overview

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food manufacturing business on the appointment of a Production Planner on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Production Planner, you will report to the Operations Manager as well as the Production Manager and will develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with sales forecasts and inventory levels.

In your new role:

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to respond proactively to shifts in demand and supply conditions.
  • Collaborate with procurement to secure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
  • Coordinate with operations, warehousing, and logistics to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment.
  • Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and optimise planning systems (e.g., ERP/MRP tools) while preparing accurate management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout the planning process.

What you will need to succeed:
