Our client is an expert packaging supplier who works predominantly within the FMCG sector and has a holistic and innovative approach to packaging. They are a future thinking business based just outside of Grimsby and are seeking a skilled Production Operative who wants to be part of a team spearheading the future of the business.
Role
- Assist production to produce a range of products, including loading and operation of production machines.
- Stack and palletise products and ensure product specifications and quality are achieved.
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area and machinery.
- Assist with general warehouse compliance tasks.
- Operate and clean production machinery and report any faults to the Supervisor.
- Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations and ensure computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.
- Identify system improvements and make recommendations for change.
- Report damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Team Leader and keep the Production/ Warehouse environment clean and tidy.
- Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling goods and adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- As a HACCP Operator, maintain product safety, quality, and legality through the HACCP plan.
- Follow orders from the Production Supervisor and Sales Office requests, working to deadlines.
- Load production machinery and maintain throughput; stack, palletise and wrap produced products.
- Assist with general Warehouse operations and compliance tasks.
The Candidate
- Experience in loading Production machinery with relevant components.
- Experience in carrying out regular checks on product to ensure a high level of quality.
- Experience in stacking, palletising and wrapping produced product.
- Experience in labeling pallets of product.
- Experience in using SafetyCulture system to record data from product checks.
- Experience in keeping the production/ stores area clean and tidy.
- Experience in completing documentation / paperwork.
- Experience in using production equipment and machinery.
- Experience in assisting the Warehouse supervisor as required.
- All other associated duties as required.
Benefits
- Salary: £27,000
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 9.00pm (40 hours)
