Production Operatives x50+ required (Dewsbury Area)
An opportunity to be part of a ground breaking project and work in a new state of the art, fast paced, engineering manufacturing facility commencing in early 2026
Are you an experienced Production Operative? or a hands‑on Assembly Worker with prior experience working with hand‑tools in a manufacturing / mechanical facility?
NOTE : We can't accept production workers from a food factory / FMCG background UNLESS you have proven Operator experience in mechanical assembly!
Prefer part time? We are looking at putting a ‘Part time DAY’ and ‘Part time EVENING’ pattern on to accommodate families / school runs / students / others needing shorter shift work. What the Production Operative roles involve
  • Assembling components using various hand and power tools.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Working with various materials, including steel, copper and plastic pipework (conduits, ducting, and pipe spooling).
  • Performing quality inspections and adhering to strict Health & Safety protocols.
  • Operating cranes and FLTs (Forklift Trucks) – a bonus, but not essential.

When this opportunity comes live in January 2026, you could be involved in these listed range of practical tasks (full training program).

Part Time Shift patterns
  • Part time DAY hours (Mon‑Thurs & Fri: 09:30‑14:30 (Fridays tbc))
  • Part time EVE hours (Mon‑Thurs & Fri: 17:00‑22:00 (start times tbc))

Location : Shawcross, Dewsbury WF12 (easily commutable from Wakefield, Horbury, Brighouse, Morley, Cleckheaton, Tingley, North Huddersfield, maybe even Barnsley)

Status : Potential 18week Temp-to-Perm contract of service (like a probationary period)

Pay : Starting £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.66 after 5week training check-in,

13.59 after completed all training modules & taken on permanent

Full time hours would be
  • Mon‑Wed: 07:00‑17:00, Thurs: 07:00‑16:30 (37.5 hours standard, weekly paid)
  • Optional overtime often available on Fridays (at Time+1 / 2)

  • Practical experience with tools and machinery in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment.
  • Experience in roles such as Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Engineering Labourer, Semi‑Skilled Worker, Assembly Operative (engineering) or Mechanical / Electrical Assembly Operative.
  • Ability to read technical drawings or a strong willingness to learn.
  • A detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious and team‑focused attitude.
