Job description

Apply today to work as a Production Operative for our clients who supply a range of customers, including retailers, wholesalers, convenience stores, and foodservice customers with their iconic products, which feature in millions of homes.

Staffline is recruiting Production Operatives in Carlton, Barnsley.

The rate of pay is £13.58 per hour.

Overtime is available after working 39.5 hours and is paid at £24.46 per hour.

This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, and the hours of work are:

1. 6am to 2pm
2. 2pm to 10pm

Your Time at Work

As a Production Operative at our client's busy bakery specialising in sweet treats, including mince pies, sweet muffins, and cupcake bases, you will be responsible for:

1. Packing products into boxes/baskets
2. Measuring, grading, and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery
3. Operating production line equipment
4. Assembling goods on a production line
5. Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff
6. Finishing products, for example, applying protective coatings
7. Monitoring the production process

Our Perfect Worker

1. Good understanding of written and spoken English plus numeracy skills.
2. A willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks required of you.
3. Working as part of a team - join in and help others around you.
4. Be able to follow instructions from other team members and supervision.
5. Ensuring that any necessary communication takes place to ensure the smooth running of the operation
6. Completing all relevant checks, i.e. CCP, weight checks, process checks, and cleaning paperwork, etc, where required.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
