Job description
Overview

Purpose: Full operational responsibility of the department's day to day operations in conjunction with customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure that the service we offer is always to the highest quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure that our supply chain is efficient and effective.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that technical requirements are integrated into our production processes.
  • Implementation of 5S standards ensuring we maintain full accreditation within your permitted area of responsibility.
  • Support and drive audit compliance.
  • Continuous training programme, to ensure all personnel are up to date with any changes that may affect the running of the production area.
  • Production planning to meet customer requirements and reduce the risk of stock shortages.
  • Raising Works/Purchase orders
  • Dealing with Customers and Suppliers
  • Working close with the production team to display best practice methods.
  • Time management, ensuring all staff are using their time effectively and productively.
  • To provide leadership, direction, and management of the production area.
  • Efficient labour scheduling to minimize staff shortages and maximize productivity.
  • Compliance of company policies and legislative requirements to include Health and Safety and Safe Systems of working.
  • Attend management meetings as required and be proactive in all aspects of relevant activity.
  • Comply with policies and procedures.
  • To ensure excellent communication links between the production and management team.
