A global engineering firm is seeking a Production Manager to oversee their manufacturing facility in Rutland. This role involves production planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should have extensive experience in engineering or industrial production environments, with a focus on customer needs. We need an experienced Production Manager to run our manufacturing facility in Rutland. Reporting into the Managing Director and running a facility which is engineering and assembly, including production planning. There is a genuine Director level career path for you if you are the right person. Our parent company is a multi-billion turnover global organisation which is supporting us in our investment into the high growth power sector. Office hours Monday-Friday, no shifts and early finish Friday.
We are looking for our new Production Manager, we are open on where your production experience comes from - but it will be engineering, industrial or machinery related - that could be machinery, equipment or vehicle manufacturing and covering relevant manufacturing processes like machining, fabrication, welding, assembly etc. Our environment is low volume manufacturing, a lot of 1's and 2's and prototyping too. You will be responsible for production planning, and you will be supported by three very capable shop floor Supervisors who are responsible for different areas. About 50% of our machinery and equipment is manufactured for stock, and the other 50% is bespoke machinery or re-engineered to the clients\' exact specification - you will be challenged to help improve the functionality of our production facility. You will lead the weekly production meeting with Team Leaders and also report to other Managers and Senior Managers on a regular basis. You will report directly to the Managing Director.
Part of a Global group, we design and manufacture our own special purpose machinery and equipment.
We supply machines and equipment to the National Grid / Power Grid & smaller energy contractors. We also supply into multiple industry sectors such as Civil Engineering & Telecoms, so you\'ll be joining a very stable business within solid industry sectors.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets and worked with the following products and/or services: Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Manager, Workshop Manager - production, assembly, fabrication, mechanical, hydraulic, welder, welding.
