Production Line Automotive Supervisor Location : Leatherhead

Salary : £37,000 + Performance Bonus (OTE £40,000+)

Hours : Monday to Friday – Day Shift (Early finish on Fridays)

Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production Line Automotive Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at our Leatherhead facility. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and hands‑on knowledge of automotive production processes. You will be responsible for leading a production team, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring output targets are consistently met.

Production Line Management
  • Supervise day-to-day operations on the automotive production line.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor workflow to maintain output, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Manage changeovers, line setups, and production planning.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of production operatives.
  • Conduct daily briefings, allocate tasks, and ensure staffing levels meet demand.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and support skill development within the team.
  • Handle performance reviews, attendance, and basic HR duties.
Quality Control & Compliance
  • Ensure all automotive products meet company and industry quality standards.
  • Carry out quality checks and ensure all completed work meets specifications.
  • Maintain production records, paperwork, and compliance documentation.
  • Uphold all health & safety guidelines, leading by example.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
  • Implement improvements using lean manufacturing principles where appropriate.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and management teams to enhance production performance.
Communication & Reporting
  • Report daily production figures and KPIs to the Production Manager.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to resolve issues quickly.
  • Escalate equipment faults, safety concerns, or delays promptly.
