This role is responsible for leading workshop operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will manage people, processes, and resources while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities
Production Coordination
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee production activities to meet agreed delivery milestones.
  • Allocate labour, equipment, and materials effectively to maximise efficiency and output.
Team Management & Development
  • Lead, supervise, and support workshop personnel across multiple disciplines.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify development needs, and promote a positive and productive working culture.
Quality Control
  • Ensure all manufactured work complies with technical drawings, specifications, and internal quality requirements.
  • Implement inspection and testing regimes and address non-conformances promptly.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices at all times.
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies and production bottlenecks.
  • Introduce process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost control.
Materials & Resource Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to support production schedules.
  • Reduce waste and manage resources responsibly.
Reporting & Communication
  • Produce regular production and performance reports.
  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between production, engineering, and delivery requirements.
