Product Quality Engineer (Contract) | Location: London | Contract Type: Up to £60ph Inside IR35 | Contract Length: 12 Months | Start Date: ASAP

We're working with a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer in London who are seeking a Product Quality Engineer to support the delivery of high-reliability flight hardware through assembly, integration and test. This role will be key in ensuring compliance to ECSS & ESA standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead product assurance for hardware, software, and system-level deliverable across programmes.
  • Define and execute assurance plans aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and suppliers to maintain compliance and meet delivery targets.
  • Manage supplier quality activities, including materials control, process oversight, inspections, and audits.
  • Champion risk management, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aerospace, Mechanical/Materials, or related field)
  • 5+ years' product assurance experience on space projects (European Space Agency, UK Space Agency or similar)
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS quality standards
  • Proven experience managing and collaborating with suppliers and vendors
  • Must hold UK or EU (27) citizenship
