The Role:

Opportunity to join the Product Development Team responsible for public assets across all asset classes (equity, multi-asset and bonds) and help deliver the business goals for the M&G collectives fund range while keeping the investor at the heart of the process.

Support the Product Directors by progressing various product initiatives and providing direction and leadership where appropriate, in respect of new product development and the ongoing management of the fund range. This is a 12 Month FTC opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all product activities are conducted in a compliant manner that places the end investor at the heart of all decision making.
  • Product development; initiate or support development of the product set to ensure it is aligned with the business vision and strategy.
  • Product management; initiate or support management of existing product set to ensure it remains fully fit for purpose in terms of customers’ expectations, pricing, profitability and the prevailing regulatory landscape.
  • Progress product development and management ideas from concept stage to completion of feasibility and project proposal stage and sponsor the implementation.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders including Investment Teams, Product Governance, Product Compliance Advisory, Distribution channels, Marketing Compliance, Risk and Finance to ensure product initiatives are compliant and fit with the overall business plan.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
  • Likely to have 5 years of Product related experience
  • Understanding of the UK and European financial services markets, together with a working knowledge of the constantly evolving distribution landscapes which prevail in each of these markets
  • Expert knowledge of various product structures including UCITS, QIS, ACS, CCF, UK Pension Funds,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (Board level)
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and drive own agenda
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Effective presentation abilities
  • Demonstrates drive and commitment to delivery
  • Skilled at influencing and building relationships
  • Sound judgment and decisiveness in decision-making
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Strategic vision and ability to align actions with long‑term goals
  • Understanding and fulfilment of regulatory requirements
  • Financial and commercial awareness
Desirable:
  • May hold MBA, IMC, CFA or other relevant qualification
