Role Description

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this is a full-time hybrid role for a Product Manager with AMAG Technology in Tewkesbury, some remote work is flexible.

The Product Manager is responsible for leading the product strategy of a product line within the AMAG Symmetry Access Control solutions portfolio to achieve the AMAG business goals and exceed customer expectations. Specific responsibilities include working directly with customers and sales to gain market feedback, market research identifying trends, competitive analysis, and providing detailed feature specifications to drive product development. Identification and negotiation of strategic partnerships to build out the required line card of products within the relevant product area. Lastly, this role is responsible for the product roadmap to maximize business benefit, justifying investment prioritization with business case detail.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers and sales to gain market feedback.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and perform competitive analysis.
  • Provide detailed feature specifications to drive product development.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships to build the product line card.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing
  • Direct experience with access control software
  • Specific experience with any of AMAG’s products is a plus
  • Qualifications in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Agile Development are desirable
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience in the physical security industry (minimum 5 years) is required.
  • Direct experience with access control products
  • Experience driving New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Ability to implement new processes and drive change within cross-functional teams; manufactured product experience is a plus.
  • Technical understanding of software and HW/FW programming/scripting, design considerations, and integration strategies such as APIs/SDKs.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, risk management, and ability to formulate global product strategies.
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to translate into product development.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of user experience and design.
  • Strategic and creative thinking; ability to craft go-to-market strategies with marketing collaboration.
  • Ability to distill product roadmaps into digestible presentations for customers and partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical documents, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to present information effectively to upper management and public groups in writing and speaking.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
