The Digital Services team at Velindre University NHS Trust is continuing its transition to a new methodology for managing digital systems and services, based around Product Teams and the Agile methodology. Velindre Cancer Centre (VCC) is a specialist tertiary provider of radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments, offering a vital lifeline to the patients of Wales. As part of its move to establish Product Teams to oversee the management of key VCC IT services, Velindre University NHS Trust Digital Services team have a vacancy for a Product Manager who will lead a small, multidisciplinary team responsible for managing key clinical applications, including the Welsh Clinical Portal (WCP) and the Welsh Nursing Care Record (WNCR). These applications are vital to supporting the delivery of safe and effective patient care
This role represents a significant opportunity to shape how clinical applications are managed using Agile principles and Product Team structures. We are seeking a dynamic individual who will champion these ways of working, serving as a role model as similar positions are established across other digital systems and services within the Trust. As a key liaison between clinical staff, stakeholders, and the Digital Services team, you will be an effective communicator, a strong negotiator, and a compassionate leader.
