Job description
Overview

Shotput, a dance-theatre company based in Glasgow, is looking for a Producer to be a permanent member of our team, working across productions and artistic development. Shotput is a growing organisation and this is an opportunity for someone to shape the future of the company in terms of artistic ambition and scale, connection to our communities in Glasgow and Scotland, and international reach.

Responsibilities and role
  • Become a third member of Shotput’s core team. Working with the two Artistic Directors, the Producer will imagine and deliver future directions for the company, with a view to expanding artistic ambition, reach, and impact.
  • Collaborate with the Founders and Co-Artistic Directors to shape the company’s future path over the next five years.
  • Support existing projects and trajectories and work closely with the directors to define the company’s future work.
  • Line manage: Marketing Manager, PR, Production Manager and other administrative roles as required; work with the team across productions and artistic development.
  • Play a major role in evolving the company as Shotput enters a Multi-Year Funded period (2025–2028) and beyond.
  • Contribute as a collaborator on the work of art that is the company itself, helping shape role and responsibilities in a way that is valuable to the successful candidate.
Details
  • Contract: Part Time. 28 hours (4 days) per week. Ongoing contract.
  • Salary: £41,000 per annum (£32,800 pro rata)
  • Reports to: Founders and Co-Artistic Directors
  • Line manages: Marketing Manager, PR, Production Manager and other administrative roles as required.
  • Benefits: Pro rata holiday entitlement and pension contribution.
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Location (scope): All Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, International
