A local government authority in the United Kingdom is looking for a procurement professional to oversee a critical portfolio in Corporate Services. The ideal candidate will manage various procurement projects, ensuring adherence to the Procurement New Act Regulations and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Experience in complex procurement and tender management is essential. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment committed to public service principles.
Our procurement team is divided into 3 main category areas: Construction and Environment, Adult and Children Public Health and Corporate Services.
This role sits within the Corporate Services team and will report directly to the Procurement Category lead.
With a strategic emphasis on commercial value, this role will oversee a diverse and critical procurement portfolio across these and other areas:
This is an existing role within the organisation and the post holder is expected on the procurement work stream for a range of major and strategically significant contracts within a designated Category area of expenditure. We are a small and close team who share ideas and learn from each other, we are proactive and uphold with pride the principles of Public Procurement.
Must understand about the Procurement New Act Regulations and have had experience in complex procurement projects.
