A leading procurement organization is seeking a Procurement Business Partner to oversee strategic procurement and manage supply chain contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and familiarity with relevant regulations. About the Procurement Business Partner role
As a key member of the Finance and Investment Team, you will develop a newly formed procurement unit spanning services, materials and contracts for all our directorates. In particular, you will implement innovative processes across the business as you support colleagues in embedding policies, procedures, best practice and evolving legislation. We will look to you to support the full project lifecycle, including detailed documentation, and champion best value for money in everything we do whilst minimising procurement risk.
Full-time, 37 hours per week.
With a strong track record in strategic procurement, you will bring extensive experience of managing materials and supply chain contracts, preferably with a knowledge of building repairs and maintenance. You will certainly be fully familiar with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023, adept in developing contract specification documents and tenders, and able to manage suppliers both strategically and operationally. Finally, a background within a housing association would be useful, as would a broad knowledge of the sector’s regulatory and political landscape; however, this is less important than excellent leadership and analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
