Role: Procurement Assistant (Part time hours) - 3 Month FTC

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire UK (onsite)

Role Summary

We are seeking to further bolster our Procurement team with the appointment of an Interim Procurement Assistant on a part time basis (circa 2.5 days per week) for an initial 3 month period. You will report into the Head of Global Procurement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Buyers and Site Managers with requisitions and reports of goods and services required on UK sites
  • Initiating purchase requisitions to support Buyers in placing Orders
  • Maintaining reports and spreadsheets of usage, spend, and supplier invoices
  • Maintaining a contracts register and working with Buyers on tenders and data gathering
Key Competencies and Experience
  • Attention to detail is really important
  • Procurement/Purchasing experience
  • Problem solving, analytical and listening skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and solve problems
  • Understanding, simplifying and improving complex processes
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication skills at all levels with the ability to talk to suppliers with sensitivity to commercial factors
  • Happy to work within a team and on own alongside other experienced professionals
Desirable Competencies and Experience
  • Experience in purchasing
  • Experience of working with MRP/ERP systems for manufacturing
  • CIPS qualification advantageous but not essential
