Process Engineer - Water | Belfast A leading MEP contractor is seeking a Process Engineer to join its expanding in‑house design team in Belfast. With a strong presence in the water and wastewater sector across Ireland and the UK, the company is investing in technical talent to support a pipeline of projects for key public and private sector clients.

Overview

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of process engineering solutions on a range of water and wastewater treatment projects. Working within a multi‑disciplinary design and delivery team, you will support all phases of project delivery—from concept development and process selection to detailed design, commissioning, and optimisation of treatment systems.

Responsibilities

What you will need to succeed as a Process Engineer

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Chemical, Environmental, Process Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience delivering process design solutions in the water or wastewater sector
  • Knowledge of water treatment technologies, sludge management, chemical dosing, and biological processes
  • Experience producing process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, and process modelling
  • Familiarity with D&B environments and project lifecycle stages including commissioning
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements including DWI and EA/NIW guidelines
