Job description
Overview

We are currently seeking a Process Controller to join our Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.

Location: Mogden - Isleworth - TW7 7LW. Pattern: 36 hours a week across a 12-hour rotating shift. This is a full-time permanent position.

What you will be doing as a Process Controller

The successful candidate will be a key member of the area operations team and will deliver a high standard of work at our Waste Treatment Works. The role reports to the Site Manager.

  • Being responsible for the overall operation of the Sewage Treatment Works, the plant and the equipment.
  • Carry out high voltage and related low voltage switching operations, monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met and the site meets regulatory quality standards and customer demand.
  • Process faults and advise suitable rectification by first fix, raising issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Team Leader as required.
  • Carrying out isolations to plant and issuing Permits to Work as part of a safe system of work.
  • Assist with on-site capital project works, coordinating maintenance and operational personnel, and raising reactive work when required.
  • Monitor stock levels and request and take deliveries as required. Undertake safety and security checks and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Operate and monitor the processes from the Control Room using SCADA, and where necessary, go into the process area to carry out operations and inspect the process area as required.
What should you bring to the role
  • Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, attention to detail, and workload management.
  • Due to the nature of the role, a Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Health and safety knowledge.
  • Ability to make decisions about our sites, sometimes under pressure.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships quickly.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Experience with SCADA would be beneficial.
  • Qualification in a technical discipline M,E or ICA would be advantageous (with Technical City and Guilds, ONC/OND, HNC/HND or equivalent), as well as being an Appointed Person for HV (electrical work) or the ability to complete the AP(HV) course.
  • You must be able to work unsupervised on 12-hour shifts, days and nights.
  • Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems.
