A well-established law firm with offices across North and South Devon is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law to take on a varied and rewarding caseload. The role will involve advising clients on a wide range of private client matters, including wills, probate, trust administration, tax planning, and lasting powers of attorney, working with a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage a varied and complex caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and lasting powers of attorney.
2. Provide expert advice to clients on matters relating to inheritance tax, estate planning, and trusts.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
4. Administer estates, including liaising with executors, beneficiaries, and HMRC.
5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional client service and clear, understandable legal advice.
6. Mentor and support more junior members of the team, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative working environment.
7. Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts, including networking, client referrals, and marketing initiatives.
8. Ensure that client files are managed accurately and efficiently, adhering to the firm’s policies and compliance requirements.
9. Stay up-to-date with developments in private client law and share knowledge with the team.

Key Skills and Experience:

1. Qualified Solicitor, ideally with 5+ years PQE in private client law.
2. Strong technical expertise in private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and provide clear, empathetic advice.
4. Proven experience managing a complex caseload and working independently.
