Job summary

A global privacy office is seeking a Privacy Counsel to provide expert legal guidance on global privacy laws, support vendor risk management, and draft privacy documentation. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of PQE, excellent communication skills, and IAPP certifications preferred. This is a full-time position with remote work and occasional travel to offices in Northampton or London.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years PQE in privacy or data protection law.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on global privacy compliance and legal risks.
  • Draft and negotiate privacy terms in contracts.
  • Lead DPIAs, LIAs, and vendor assessments.
  • Support privacy training, audits, and incident response.
  • Collaborate across legal, marketing, operations, and acquisitions.

Join our Global Privacy Office and help shape a culture of data confidence across our organisation. As Privacy Counsel, you’ll provide expert legal guidance on global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, PECR), support vendor risk management, draft privacy documentation, and advise on data protection strategies across the business.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
