A leading energy organization in Bristol is seeking a Health Physics Technician to monitor radiological and beryllium hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in radiation safety and recent experience in operational radiological protection. This role includes developing safety measures, responding to emergencies, and performing contamination monitoring. The position offers a competitive salary of £33,000 and is expected to be onsite five days a week, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

The salary for this role is £33,000 (inclusive of a Market Premium Payment (MPP)). Onsite working is expected 5 days a week.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
As Health Physics Technician, you will play a pivotal role in performing routine surface and airborne contamination monitoring for the control of radiological and beryllium hazards, assessment of site working procedures and responding to urgent requests for Health Physics cover for radiological protection and/or occupational hygiene advice, and provide advice and monitoring in response to incidents, including spills, leaks, releases of radioactivity or for site emergency conditions.
