Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Principal Quality Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow in Furness on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.

This role will be offering £47.12 per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella

Role

The role of the Quality Engineer is to support to the Quality Function in order to achieve a scope of work which ensures that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System

Duties
  • Work as a fully contributory member of the Quality team
  • Responsible for demonstrating SHE and responsible business behaviours
  • Able to access, have a clear understanding of and develop the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in their related area
Skills
  • The ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements
  • Experience of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies; Fishbone, 5 Why, relationship diagrams, six sigma etc. gathering and analysing evidence cross functionally
Experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards
  • Understanding of Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process
