Overview

Principal Product Manager – Broadcast & Streaming

Location: United Kingdom. Commutable distance to Winchester / London.

Role Summary

Selling the product vision and direction for all products and services within the portfolio, ensuring that product strategies align with business objectives, leading a team of product managers and owners to deliver successful products to market.

Responsibilities
  • Owns the roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation across one or more products or strategic product initiatives
  • Leads the product discovery and development process, from ideation to launch, through collaboration with Software Engineering, Architecture, Enablement, Operations, Marketing and other stakeholders
  • Defines and builds new capabilities and enhances existing products to drive the business forward to meet and exceed revenue and growth goals, whilst ensuring scale and flexibility
  • Offers mentorship and guidance to Product Owners, Product Managers and other team members in terms of best practices, strategic thinking, and professional development
  • Proactively coaches colleagues across Arqiva ensuring that Arqiva’s products, services and solutions are well understood and represented
  • Conducts market and customer research to identify emerging trends, customer needs and understand the competitive landscape
  • Anticipates and stays abreast of product and market trends and technologies
  • Uses data to identify opportunities, threats and inform product decisions
  • Establishes and defines success metrics and KPIs whilst driving a culture of data-centricity and taking action where necessary to improve product performance
  • Enables commercial opportunities through creative and innovative product solutions with effective cost and pricing models
  • Manages and influences stakeholders through compelling and concise storytelling and communication
Qualifications & Skills
  • Expertise in customer and market analysis and strategic positioning of products to maximise market share and profitability
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and forecast product performance
  • High proficiency in decision-making and prioritisation across complex and competing needs
  • Clear, concise communication tailored to the audience
  • Ability to adapt and anticipate based upon changing market and customer needs
  • Curiosity: remains in the problem space when others have jumped to solutions
  • Champions a culture of innovation and experimentation within product management
  • Familiarity with budgeting business cases for the adoption of new technology as well as the launch of new products and services
Knowledge & Experience
  • Extensive product management experience with a proven track record of partnering with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to launch large-scale products, with understanding of product lifecycle, data and insights
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver products that meet the needs of target markets
  • Ability to collaborate and influence multiple partners, driving consensus and commitment
  • Understanding of Arqiva’s product landscape and ability to translate that into Arqiva’s vision for the future
  • Motivated self-starter with the conviction and confidence to pivot and/or stay on course in the face of adversity
  • B2B experience preferred but not essential
