Job summary

A leading planning agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Planning Officer to contribute to major planning applications and town centre regeneration projects. The role is primarily home-based with site visits required. Candidates must have experience with public inquiries and a collaborative approach to service delivery. This position offers £50-£60 per hour inside IR35 for an initial contract of 3 to 6 months.

Overview

Principal Planning Officer – Home Counties

£50-£60 per hour (DOE) Inside IR35 • 3 to 6 months initially • JOB REF - 61596

Responsibilities

• Work primarily from home with site visits and key meetings; office presence as needed and ideally once a week.
• Contribute to town centre regeneration projects in the local area with continued development workload.
• Lead and/or contribute to major applications; provide public inquiry experience.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to maintain a high level of service.
• Hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
