A healthcare provider in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Principal Pharmacist for Infection Management. This role will involve leading infection management services, providing expert advice on antimicrobials, and ensuring compliance with national guidelines. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical governance, education, and training initiatives within a supportive team environment. The position is critical for enhancing patient safety and outcomes.
We are currently seeking a Principal Pharmacist for Infection Management to join our dedicated pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced pharmacist to play a pivotal role in managing infection control strategies and delivering expert pharmaceutical care within the Trust.
The Principal Pharmacist for Infection Management will lead and develop infection management services within the Trust, providing expert advice and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on the appropriate use of antimicrobials. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines across the Trust, supporting infection prevention and control initiatives, and ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines.
As part of your role, you will also be involved in clinical governance, education and training, audit, and research initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals in a fast-paced and varied environment.

You will be a vital leader within the pharmacy service in our Trust and the principal pharmacist for Infection management.
