Principal Partnerships Officer
- Hourly Salary: PAYE - £35.13/hr, Umbrella - £45.74/hr

- Working Hours: 37 hrs per week (7.4 hrs per day)

Join our Strategy and Policy Team within the Communities and Skills Directorate at a London authority. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Principal Partnerships Officer to manage strategy, policy, and governance arrangements within our Skills and Employment Unit. This unit runs flagship programmes delivering high-quality skills, employment, and careers services across London.
Day-to-day of the role
- Work flexibly across department income streams to project manage fundraising initiatives, delivering on KPIs, income, ROI, and engagement targets.
- Develop and present sponsorship packages for potential corporate sponsors that align with our mission and strategy.
- Develop new corporate supporters through networking events, meetings, and corporate events.
- Continuously research new business opportunities in specific target markets, making cold approaches and writing proposals to secure support.
- Produce monthly reports outlining progress and achievements within practical and financial guidelines.
- Manage relationships with local and national government stakeholders; develop options for the Mayor to influence and promote London-specific activities.
- Identify opportunities for the development of skills and employment programmes in line with mayoral priorities.
- Prepare updates for senior management on the progress of skills and employment priorities in relation to fundraising.
- Contribute to the work on devolution, supporting the coordination of efforts across different teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Substantial experience in developing cross-organisational partnerships and/or fundraising activities.
- A successful track record in a high-profile organisation, communicating with and influencing senior partners.
- Knowledge and understanding of complex organisational or political environments.
- Experience in project-based work, including planning and monitoring delivery against plans.
- Strong skills in communicating and influencing, building and managing relationships, research and analysis, and planning and organising.
