CINSS is a community-based therapy team, supporting the early discharge of patients post stroke and other neurological conditions. Interdisciplinary team working underpins the culture of CINSS. You will be an integral team member working across the neurorehabilitation pathway, joining friendly, supportive and highly competent therapy colleagues providing patient centred care to adults, and their families, in the Coventry area, in their own homes or out‑patient clinics.

You will be joining a team with an established and integrated Psychology provision which is always looking to develop and evolve. Would you enjoy the challenge to be part of enhancing the neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, alongside further developing our therapy colleagues' knowledge and expertise in working psychologically with patients. Our aim is to drive a formulation‑based model to maximise rehabilitation potential and quality of life.

Secondment will be considered for internal candidates - If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Main duties of the job

The Community Integrated Neuro and Stroke Service (CINSS) is dedicated community rehabilitation services based in Coventry. They support people to be discharged home from hospital, when safe to do so, following a diagnosis of a stroke or other neurological condition and offer them rehabilitation at home.

The team consists of Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation Technicians (Therapy Assistants).

The structure of the team will enable you to work closely with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team and Clinical Lead. The team has strong leadership with experienced qualified therapy staff that will support development through appraisal, work based competencies, peer and individual supervision.

The group is currently trialling a new Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) model following a collaborative event with internal and external stakeholders. This pilot aims to explore team structures and assess the impact on patient experience. While no formal redesign has taken place yet, the outcomes of this trial may inform future service delivery and team configuration across the group.

If you are successful in your application, please be aware that your team structure and line management may be subject to change in the future as part of this evolving model. However, any formal changes will be preceded by appropriate consultation in line with organisational policy.
