Qualifications

• Experience in validating and implementing a new service.
• Evidence of managing processes and HR processes.
• Ability to provide education and training to department staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical advice for Biochemistry.
• Supervise and support method development.
• Ensure compliance with national clinical guidance.

Skills

Duty biochemist rota participation

High IT literacy including LIMS

Experience with Automated biochemistry platforms

HPLC / Mass spectrometry experience

Specialist training on analytical platform

Education

MSc in Clinical Biochemistry or equivalent

State registered (HCPC) as a Clinical Scientist

Completion of Part 1 FRCPath

Tools

Analytical platforms (HPLC/Capillary electrophoresis/MS)

Automated chemistry and immunoassay platforms
