ChampionX is seeking a Principal Chemist to join our team in Aberdeen, UK. The role involves developing and advancing technical platforms that meet business and customer needs. You will lead research, development, and problem-solving projects to enable new products and platforms, working closely with RDE teams to design, execute, and communicate results. What You Will Do:

• Deliver value through product development, formulation, and technical support for oilfield chemicals
• Evaluate and develop new products and techniques
• Support product applications, management, and technical sales
• Conduct laboratory work, reporting, and field or offshore service
• Collaborate with technical teams to solve customer problems and perform field evaluations
• Understand and develop ChampionX's product range and assist in product management and marketing
• Design performance tests, maintain equipment, and ensure ISO compliance
• Prepare professional reports, pursue self-development, and adhere to safety policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSc Hons, MSc, or PhD in Chemistry or related field, with experience in oilfield chemicals
• Experience in laboratory research and project management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; DOE experience optional
• Excellent communication skills in English

Physical Demands:

• Office and laboratory work, with potential field visits
• Occasional overseas travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of H2S scavenger chemistries, polymers, and related projects
