Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an interim Contract P6 Primavera Planner based in Aberdeen. This role offers an immediate start through to February with potential extensions. The successful candidate will manage and create detailed project schedules for large-scale EPC projects using Primavera P6, integrating data from ERP systems and ensuring compliance with client requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Willingness to travel for project needs is required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced user of Primavera P6.
  • Strong command of critical path methodology and schedule risk identification.
  • Experience with productivity tracking and forecasting is desired.

Job description

FINTEC recruit is looking for an interim Contract P6 Primavera Planner based in Aberdeen. This offers an immediate start through to February with potential of extension. You will have a willingness to travel for projects and business needs

Responsibilities
  • Initiating and setting up large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects.
  • Creation of project schedules
  • Full control of the planning activities across this priority project.
  • Produce high quality planning outputs within tight deadlines
  • Integrating data from ERP systems (Glovia, SAP, etc)
  • Develop a detailed project schedule using Primavera P6 set up and create a primavera project schedule covering the full EPC lifecycle.
  • Lead the way towards baselining the schedule, ensuring schedule alignment with scope changes, engineering progress, resource availability, supply chain progress and production capacity.
  • Monitor and report progress set up initial project performance reporting.
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities, provide visibility and awareness on risks and work with the subject matter experts to recommend solutions for management to approve.
  • Coordinate closely with multi-discipline teams (engineering, procurement, production) to validate planning assumptions and logic.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements
Skills & Experience required
  • Advanced user of Primavera P6.
  • Strong command of critical path methodology (CPM) and schedule risk identification.
  • Experience with S-curves, earned value, productivity tracking, and forecasting desired.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills — verbal, written, and graphical.
  • Comfortable working independently and quickly integrating into new teams or projects.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance.
  • If contract extended, willingness for some travel based on project or business needs.
