Primary Teaching Assistant – Newbury – ASAP Start

Primary Teacher Training. Pay: £90‑£100 per day.

Are you a graduate looking to embark on a career in education? Do you have previous experience working with children? A fantastic primary school in Newbury is searching for an enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated teaching assistant to join us ASAP. We are looking for a graduate teaching assistant with prior experience working with children. Experience with Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential.

This is a long‑term contract beginning ASAP and a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience before becoming a primary teacher. We offer ongoing support and training, a senior leadership team, and a full‑time schedule Monday to Friday (no work during school holidays). The school is a relatively large 2‑form entry school, and a degree (2:2 or above) would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Support children in Key Stage 1 and 2 with Maths, English, and other subjects.
• Support children in their SATS preparation.
• Assist with teaching and classroom tasks as directed.
