If you’re patient, reliable, and passionate about helping children with additional learning needs thrive, this is an excellent role for you.

About the School

The school is known locally for its warm atmosphere, strong leadership team, and inclusive approach. Staff describe it as a place where you’re supported from day one and where children genuinely come first. You’ll be joining a team that shares ideas, collaborates daily, and works hard to create a consistent, nurturing environment for pupils.

About the Role

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, language and communication needs
  • Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Learning delays or barriers to learning

Your duties will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support and small-group guidance
  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation
  • Helping deliver personalised learning activities
  • Supporting classroom routines
  • Working with teachers to implement EHCP targets
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning habits

Full training is provided, and you’ll work closely with experienced staff who will support your development.

What the School Is Looking For

  • Calm, patient, and consistent
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Confident working with additional needs (or willing to learn)
  • Reliable and committed to supporting children long-term
  • A good communicator who works well in a team

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA, Support Worker, or within childcare is highly valued — but not essential. Strong character is more important than a perfect CV.

  • Monday–Friday, term time only
  • Competitive daily rate / salary (depending on experience)
  • Immediate or flexible start dates available
  • Ongoing SEN and safeguarding training provided
