Role: Press Assistant

Location: E1, London

Reports to: Press Manager, Press Officer

The Press Assistant will join a fast paced and creative team and work closely with the Press Manager and Junior Press Officer to ensure the delivery of the global communications and VIP strategy. This role will support the team in delivering top tier editorial coverage and VIP placements. The person in this role will collaborate closely with other business departments and interact with the brand’s founder and Creative Director.

Job Overview
  • Supporting the brand's global press and VIP strategy, the Press Assistant will be responsible for managing global sample coordination.
  • Liaising with global press and the brand's international press agencies to ensure sample delivery and collection.
  • Driving high quality coverage in key markets.
  • Monitoring press coverage and assisting the Junior Press Officer in compiling the weekly and monthly press reports.
  • Working closely with the studio on the care of the seasonal collection.
  • Supporting the team with bi-annual fashion shows, press days, events, and photoshoots.
  • Be the point of contact within the company for sample requests, facilitating the sample needs of the production, development, design, wholesale and e-commerce departments.
  • Working with the external archive to manage previous collections.
  • Identifying emerging VIPs and KOLs.
  • Managing and guiding the Press Intern.
The ideal candidate
  • Degree in a related discipline (PR / Communications), preferred but not required.
  • Previous work experience in a fast paced, demanding, and agile PR function.
  • Experience with software such as Fashion GPS / Launchmetrics, FedEx, DHL, UPS and other shipment /courier companies.
  • Proactive with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail, a creative eye and accuracy.
