Under the direction of the President, Acute Care Hospital Division, the President, Chief Hospital Executive, Riverview Medical Center provides leadership, direction and administration on all aspects of day to day hospital operations to achieve targeted objectives, including nursing and support services, medical staff/team member/patient satisfaction, medical manpower/business development and financial performance. Located on the Navesink River in Red Bank, New Jersey, Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center offers the convenience and personalized service of a community hospital, with state-of-the-art technology and collaboration with physicians and specialists from top medical schools and residency programs.

Riverview Medical Center has received awards and recognition from regional and national organizations.

Responsibilities and notable achievements are described below.

Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the President, Acute Care Hospital Division and senior leadership, leverage current resources and systems and explore new models of care that support population health and position the hospital competitively while meeting community needs.
  • Establish effective working relationships with community, physicians (employed and independent), team members and board members through open collaboration and consistent communication; foster a sense of systemness across the hospital.
  • Lead quality, safety and patient experience improvements driven by data analytics; promote high reliability thinking in operations and decision making.
  • Foster collaboration between clinical departments, care transformation services, physicians, and affiliated services to provide integrated services aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Manage or assist in recruitment, development and supervision of team members; create an environment of trust and engagement; establish objectives aligned to strategic goals; coach and evaluate performance.
  • Participate in development and management of budget for assigned areas; monitor financial indicators and adjust activities as needed.
  • Track and report relevant data and metrics; recommend actions or process improvements; complete assignments and projects timely.
  • Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Hospital Administration.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in strategic hospital operations.
  • Five (5) years of experience in senior level leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills.
  • Strong planning, marketing, organizational development and business skills.
  • Information systems capabilities and ability to use data for management decisions.
  • Ability to work with physicians and professionals across locations; promote workplace diversity.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; strong collaboration.
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets; strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred
  • Fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives.

Compensation

Starting at $289,764.80 Annually. Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and may reflect a portion of total rewards. The final offer may differ based on factors including experience, education, certifications, location, and internal equity. The organization may offer incentives, bonuses, or shift differentials as applicable.

In addition to compensation, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement and retirement benefits.
