About This Role

Swanwood Partnership is a friendly, forward‑thinking partner‑led GP surgery based in Wickford, Essex, serving a patient population of just under 7,000.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands‑on practice manager to join our experienced team on a part‑time basis (24 hours per week). Flexible hours can be discussed. The role involves supporting growth, working with people and keeping the practice running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the practice
  • Support and lead the admin and clinical teams
  • Manage HR, staff training and development
  • Handle finance – budgets, payroll and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with CQC and NHS requirements
  • Help meet QOF and enhanced service targets
  • Work closely with the PCN, ICB and other local partners
  • Introduce fresh ideas to improve how we work and care for patients
About the Candidate

To be considered, you should have:

  • Organisation skills and enjoy variety in your day
  • Approachability and competence
  • Desirably experience working in a GP practice
  • Experience in a management or leadership role (essential)
  • Understanding of healthcare or the NHS (bonus)
