Job description

We’re seeking a creative, proactive, and dynamic new member of the team to manage and shape new—land’s brand presence and external marketing communications. Working closely with new—land’s EPs across new—land’s three international offices in London, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Your role will be to ensure our online presence reflects the creative excellence and vision of new—land and our directors, and to seek out meaningful opportunities to broaden our reach in the industry.

We’re looking for someone who is both organised and imaginative — someone with an eye for aesthetics and a confident storyteller. With experience in editorial and/or social media, you’ll help to craft strategies that resonate, alongside a clear understanding of the commercial production landscape. And most importantly, someone with a love for filmmaking.

This is a full time position based in our London office.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An innate understanding of social media and for growing our community across different platforms in the UK and Scandinavia.
  • Knowledge of the cultural landscape of the commercial film industry, and how the industry uses social media as a tool.
  • An understanding of new—land as a brand and the importance of maintaining our brand identity across external communications.
  • An excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with international teams.
  • Ability to design bespoke social media assets.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Experience within a similar role at a production company, brand or ad agency is useful but not essential.

Further Responsibilities include:

Social Media
  • Design and create a variety of social media content under new—land’s branding, from new film releases to bespoke BTS content, with a focus on storytelling, engagement and brand identity.
  • Gather information about upcoming releases from each office and track new releases; lead on our strategy for posting on social media, informing teams of planned posts each week in an internal weekly email thread.
  • Post to Instagram / LinkedIn maintaining attention to detail, adapting and establishing new—land’s tone of voice across different social media channels.
Website / Culture
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the website, uploading relevant new work and news.
  • Generate and execute creative ideas for posts on the Culture Section of the website, writing articles and insight pieces about our directors, or sharing important cultural news relevant to new—land.
  • Update Directors’ reels with new work and discuss with EPs which work should be on director’s pages.
Press & PR
  • Writing press releases and sharing with trade outlets along with relevant credits and assets.
  • Going beyond this to generate additional industry-facing press opportunities around new releases and talent.
  • Designing, writing and strategising new—land’s newsletter.
  • Managing contacts/mailing lists through CRM.
  • Generating new ideas for other avenues through which to promote new—land’s creative output.
Other
  • Overseeing international awards submissions with the UK and Scandinavian offices.
  • Assisting with sales output when needed, e.g. helping to curate presentations, creating show reels, attending networking events.
