We are looking for a PQ Accountant with 3 years of accounting experience to join the Finance Team of a Global Financial Markets Trading Company.

Responsibilities
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities
  • Assist with cost analysis and respond to queries
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns (e.g., statistical reports) as required
  • Act as the banking and system liaison, managing day‑to‑day matters with external partners
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Accurately process and maintain ledger entries in SAP Business ByDesign and other accounting systems
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and work proactively to resolve issues
  • Provide general assistance across the Finance team as needed (e.g., preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance requirements)
  • Support new business projects and initiatives from a finance perspective
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and system enhancements
  • Participate in resolving complex accounting challenges and ad‑hoc queries
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance, accounting or a related field
  • Part qualified from a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and dependable approach to work
  • Ability to take initiative and build confidence in managing tasks independently
  • Familiarity with SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Concur or similar ERP systems (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
