Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Power BI Developer to join on a 6-month fixed term contract with potential for permanence. The role requires over 4 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, strong skills in Azure services, and the ability to work independently. Located primarily in Birmingham, candidates should be available for onsite work 2 days a week. The salary is £50,000 per annum, and only candidates based in the UK will be considered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' hands-on experience with Power BI including datasets, modelling, and end-to-end reporting.
• Strong experience with Azure services like pipelines, data warehousing, and Synapse.
• Good understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles, ideally Kimball.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
• Ability to work independently within a developing BI function.

I'm currently working with a client looking for a Power BI Developer to join on a 6‑month fixed term (FTE), with the potential to become permanent

Required Skillset

• 4+ years' hands‑on experience with Power BI (datasets, modelling, end‑to‑end reporting)
• Strong experience with Azure (pipelines, data warehousing, Synapse)
• Good understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles, ideally Kimball
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements‑gathering skills
• Comfortable working independently within a developing BI function

Location: Birmingham (2 days per week onsite requirement)

Contract Type: 6 months fixed term FTE (high possibility to be made permanent)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary - £50000 pa
