A leading facilities management company in Greater London seeks a skilled professional to supervise and support maintenance activities across a commercial office portfolio. The role involves managing a small team of engineers while ensuring all services comply with SLAs and safety standards. Strong experience in Building Services or Facilities Management, along with excellent communication and organisational skills, are essential. This supervisory position also requires hands-on involvement in maintenance tasks to ensure client satisfaction and compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within Building Services / Facilities Management.
  • Previous supervisory or lead engineer experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to manage engineers while remaining hands-on.
  • Organised, professional, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities
  • To supervise and support the delivery of building services maintenance across a commercial office portfolio
  • To manage a small team of engineers while remaining hands‑on with maintenance activities
  • To act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for the client across the City & West End portfolio
  • To ensure all services are delivered in line with SLAs and contractual requirements, Supervise and support a small team of engineers across multiple commercial sites
  • Carry out hands‑on maintenance duties (approximately 50%)
  • Ensure planned and reactive works are completed to a high standard
  • Act as the primary client contact on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Monitor performance, standards, and compliance across the portfolio
  • Assist with scheduling, workload management, and engineer support
  • Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance at all times
  • Complete reports, documentation, and handovers as required, Responsible for the performance and support of a small engineering team
  • Responsible for maintaining client satisfaction across the portfolio
  • Responsible for safe working practices and site standards
