About the Company

A real estate investment and asset management business specialising in purpose-built residential living (Build-to-Rent and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) across the UK, backed by institutional capital. The company operates a growing portfolio of thousands of student beds and residential apartments across major UK cities, with expansion interests in Europe.

Role Overview

This Portfolio Analyst position sits within the Finance/Asset Management team and offers exposure to portfolio performance analysis, investment analysis, and strategic planning within a data-driven real estate platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyse the residential portfolio performance across BTR and PBSA assets
  • Prepare portfolio performance reports tracking KPIs (occupancy, rental growth, operating costs, NOI)
  • Maintain financial models and dashboards for performance monitoring and forecasting
  • Support investment transactions, refinancing, underwriting, and due diligence processes
  • Deliver investor and lender reporting with accuracy and insight
  • Collaborate across asset management, finance, and operations teams
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitor analysis
  • Contribute to annual business planning, quarterly reporting, and board materials
Ideal Candidate
  • 2+ years' experience in real estate, investment management, corporate finance, or analytical roles
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills (Power BI experience advantageous)
  • Understanding of investment metrics and portfolio reporting
  • Exposure to real estate valuation or debt processes desirable
  • Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field advantageous
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and numeracy
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities
