Job Responsibilities

Typical day-to-day responsibilities of our porters include:

  • Moving patients on beds, trolleys and chairs around the hospital
  • Collecting and delivering specimen samples, blood products
  • Delivering pharmaceuticals to wards and departments
  • Collection and delivery of medical gases
  • Waste service collection
  • Patient food trolleys, clean linen deliveries
  • Postal services, furniture moves
  • We work with the mortuary department
