Job description

Room Leader – Preschool

We are looking for a Level 3 Room Leader to manage the professional delivery of the Preschool Room, ensuring a safe, stimulating and supportive environment for all children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well‑being of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Ensure that the statutory framework for the EYFS is fully met.
• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources appropriate to each child’s age and stage of development.
• Enhance the all‑around daily needs of children, including physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
• Assist staff in keeping the EyLog system and learning journals up to date with high quality entries.
• Embed an effective key‑person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
• Identify training or development needs for staff and support their professional growth.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan.
• Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility for the child‑centred role.

Qualifications & Experience

• Full, relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential).
• Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years (essential).
• Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position (desirable).
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating (desirable).
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for EYFS and regulatory requirements (essential).
• Fluent in written and spoken English (essential).

Other Details

• Salary: £27,476.80 per annum.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible shift pattern 07:30 AM–06:00 PM.
• Location: Beaconsfield Day Nursery and Preschool, Beaconsfield – easily accessible and offers onsite parking.
