PMO Team Lead (199jc) - Twyford, Berkshire - £45 to 49k + Benefits

As part of continued expansion, my client is creating a brand-new Project Management Office (PMO) Team Lead role at their HQ in Twyford. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to take charge of a growing PMO team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

They have specifically requested someone from a military background who have led teams, coordinated complex operations, and thrived under pressure. Your ability to plan, organise, and deliver results while supporting your team will set you up for success.

The Role
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and coordinators
  • Oversee planning and delivery of key engineering/IT projects (e.g. networking, security systems, intelligence solutions)
  • Drive consistent project governance, reporting, and resource management
  • Monitor risks, budgets, and schedules to ensure smooth delivery
  • Champion change management and continuous improvement across the business
  • Report regularly to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives
What They are Looking For
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills – military or civilian
  • Experience in managing projects, people, or operations
  • Knowledge of project management methods (PRINCE2, Agile, PMP, etc.) – useful but not essential
  • A problem-solver with a proactive, “can-do” mindset
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • IT/engineering project experience is helpful but not a requirement
