On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a PMO Analyst (Financial & Portfolio Benefits) for a 12-Month contract based in Derby (Hybrid-3 days per week in office).

Purpose of the role

As PMO Analyst (Financial & Portfolio Benefits) you will join our Client's Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Office (PPMO) team. You will work on portfolio and financial management, enabling agile support and contributing to a high-performing PPMO. You will ensure robust governance and comprehensive benefits management, covering both financial and non-financial benefits as well as the associated KPIs, across the Digital & IT portfolio. You will maintain oversight of portfolio-level risks, issues, and performance to support informed decision-making.

What you'll do
  • Manage and report on portfolio benefits, tracking and reporting both financial and non-financial performance, including key KPIs, across the portfolio.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for investment governance processes, ensuring all investments are managed, reported, and tracked effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Benefits Manager to identify interdependencies that may impact benefits realization and expand risks as needed.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports on financial and non-financial performance, benefits, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to portfolio reporting standards, providing accurate and concise updates to senior leadership for decision-making.
  • Assist in creating guidance and documentation for investment committee papers.
  • Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PPMO processes and capabilities, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach by assisting with tasks outside your immediate remit when required, helping to ensure the resilience and effectiveness of the team.
The skills you'll need
  • Significant experience in financial and portfolio benefits management within complex organizations, including tracking non-financial benefits and associated KPIs.
  • Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret and translate portfolio insights from multiple data sources.
  • Proficiency in Excel and portfolio management tools (e.g., OPC or equivalent).
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with finance and project delivery teams.
  • Ability to identify risks and interdependencies and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities within a PMO environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, support team members, and contribute to a positive team culture.
