Overview

Reed are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Assessor. This role is crucial for overseeing the progress and development of apprentices and work-based learners within the plumbing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments and supporting learners to achieve their objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a Caseload: Take responsibility for an agreed caseload of apprentices/work-based learners, ensuring high-quality assessment and support throughout their learning journey.
  • Quality Assessment: Develop, plan, and deliver quality assessments that meet the requirements of the qualification or apprenticeship framework/standard.
  • Achievement Goals: Ensure apprentices achieve their learning and development objectives in a timely manner, contributing to increases in achievement and timeliness rates.
  • Industry Education: Participate in educating employers about changes or developments in the skills sector relevant to their industrial area.
  • Maintain Standards: Uphold appropriate standards of positive learner behaviour and challenge inappropriate behaviours both in College and in the workplace.
Who We're Looking For
  • Industry Experience: Recent relevant experience within the plumbing industry, possessing high-level practical skills.
  • Qualifications: Minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or other Level 2 equivalent qualifications).
  • Assessment Skills: Level 3 Assessment & Quality Assurance or equivalent, or willingness to work towards obtaining this qualification within 6 months.
  • Inspirational Ability: Capability to inspire, motivate, and raise aspirations of learners through enthusiasm and knowledge of the plumbing trade.
  • Professionalism: Ability to demonstrate practical trade skills and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.
