Job description

Overview

I am looking for a Plumber to work on behalf of a local North Shields based council. This is an ongoing temporary contract. The successful candidate will carry out repairs to the Council's housing stock.

Compensation and Working Hours

The Plumber will receive:

• Up to £20 P/H
• Long run of work

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Repairs to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications to a wide range of fixtures and fittings. This will include the removal or adjustment of existing fittings and fixtures, the preparation of surfaces, the construction / fabrication / assembly of new fittings and fixtures and re‑fitting. Work will be heavily customer focused so good customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Plumbing
• Previous social housing/council house maintenance experience
• CSCS Card
• Driving License

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake an online asbestos awareness and manual handling course prior to starting.
