Overview

Plumber / Fitter - Water Industry - East Kent (2-3 Month Contract)

GRS are currently seeking a Plumber / Fitter for a short-term assignment in the water industry, covering projects in East Kent.

Contract

Duration: 2-3 months

Start: Immediate

Pay: £300-£320 per day (CIS)

Responsibilities

• Carrying out snagging works, identifying and rectifying minor defects and incomplete installations on water treatment plant systems.
• Performing small repairs to pipework, valves, pumps, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Conducting flushing works on potable water systems to ensure cleanliness and compliance with water hygiene standards.
• Inspecting and testing systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.
• Working safely within a live water environment, following site-specific procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Maintaining clear records of works completed and reporting any issues to site supervisors.
• Occasionally assisting with the commissioning of new equipment under supervision.
