Samuel Frank is recruiting for a PLC Software Engineer for a Staffordshire based, specialist engineering business. The PLC Software Engineer will have at least 1-3 years relevant/commercial experience post-graduation.

Key aspects to the PLC Software Engineer position include;

  • You’ll need to be a British passport holder and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, as you’ll be put through basic level security clearance.
  • The successful PLC Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automation, safety and material tracking systems, which will include writing PLC programs from scratch.
  • Experience in the use of Siemens system components and development tools
  • The management team encourages a sensible work-life balance with the MD making sure people leave the office by 4.30pm between Mondays and Thursdays and 12:30pm on Fridays
  • Write specifications and system documentation
  • Preparation of test plans
  • The company encourages and will support Engineers taking on Chartered status / MSc qualifications etc.
  • Qualified to least Degree level
  • 30 days holiday per year as well as the statutory Bank Holidays
  • The company is a registered Siemens partner and can offer a flexible, friendly working environment as well as the opportunity to work with some very talented engineers.
