PLC Controls Engineer

Up to 50k, Nottingham based.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining legacy PLC software solutions
• Designing, configuring and, commissioning our next generation control system
• Communicating with customers and translating their requirements into functional design specifications
• Testing, debugging, and performance tuning
• Writing and updating technical documentation
• Maintaining and supporting existing systems
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders
• Out-of-hours support (evenings and weekends, after probationary period)
• On-site commissioning work (typically during the week and in the UK but including weekends and overseas)

Required Skills

• Allen Bradley PLC programming
• Siemens PLC programming (TIA portal and Simatic Manager) or Mitsubishi PLC programming
• Familiarity with SCADA systems
• Knowledge of Windows Server and PCs

Desirable Skills

• Electrical engineering experience
• Additional programming experience (specifically C, C++, or C#)
• SQL Server database
