An educational trust in Peterborough seeks a dedicated Play Worker to ensure children enjoy meaningful and active lunchtime play. Contract: Permanent
Hours: 5 hours, 38 weeks (term time only)
Working pattern: 1 hour per day over lunch time
Salary: Pathway 1, £2,752 - £2,795 per annum (FTE £24,413 - £24,796)
Site: Warboys Primary Academy

As a Play Worker, you’ll be part of our dedicated play team, ensuring every child enjoys meaningful, active, and creative lunchtime play. You’ll help create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment, support positive social interactions, and make lunchtime a happy, inclusive experience. From facilitating imaginative play to assisting in the dining hall, you’ll be a key figure in promoting our school ethos and safeguarding children’s welfare.
You’ll need to be friendly, approachable, and confident working with children aged 4–11. Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a caring attitude are essential. While previous experience in play work or first aid is desirable, what matters most is your enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to our values. If you can communicate clearly, solve problems calmly, and bring energy to every lunchtime, we’d love to hear from you.
